Most memorable outdoor moment:

While on a day hike to find the elusive "Lost Shelter" at Bear Brook State Park in New Hampshire, I happened to pass my turnoff for the secret trail and was about to give up on my destination. When I reached a beaver pond, something pushed me to go further towards the end of the dammed lake. As I approached it, I could just see the outline of the shelter. The feeling of reaching my goal that day has always stuck with me: to keep pushing even though I may be on the brink of giving up.
